Interactions Alpha-Lipoic-Acid has been safely used for over 30 years in Europe in doses of 300-600mg., with no significant adverse effects. With individuals who are thiamin deficient, such as alcoholics, thiamin (B-1) is advised and Montiff Tri- Phos-B, B- Long, or B- Complete is recommended. Since no studies have been reported on pregnant women, it is not recommended for them.
